4-Day/36-Hour Flexible Workweek
When we say family and work/life balance we mean it! Starting in January 2022, Schumacher Homes is leading the industry by changing the standard work week from 40 hours to 36 hours allowing focus on the work/life balance for our team. This 36-hour week will include Sundays off for our sales team and may be a 4-day work week or a reduced hour 5-day work week (based on department and location).

Paid Time Off
Starting with your first paycheck, all full-time employees are eligible for PTO which is accrued on a bi-weekly basis. For the first two years of employment, you earn 80 hours of time. For years three through six, you earn 120 hours of PTO. Starting in year seven, you earn 160 hours.

What should I bring on my first day?
You will need to bring two forms of identification (examples: driver’s license and social security card or a valid US passport).
What is the dress code?
Depending on the nature of the job, along with the judgment of local management, employees should dress and accessorize in a manner that projects a professional image and is appropriate to the type of work they perform. The dress code varies from business professional to business casual.
What is the time off policy?
Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues on a per pay period basis, beginning with your first check! For the first two years of employment, each employee earns 80 hours (2 weeks) of PTO for full time employees. Years three through six, full time employees earn 120 hours (3 weeks) of PTO. Starting year seven, full time employees earn 160 hours (4 weeks) of PTO annually.
What if I have a pre-planned vacation upon hire?
Communicate your plans with your supervisor as soon as possible. If approved, you will be required to use PTO, and if no PTO is available, the time off will be unpaid.
What are the standard holidays?
Regular full-time employees are entitled to the following paid holidays observed by the Company: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Additional holidays may be announced during the 4Q of every year.
When am I eligible for benefits?
Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance benefits take effect the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
Do you have a retirement plan?
Schumacher has a partnership with Fidelity to offer an outstanding 401k program with an employer match. Eligibility for the 401k is the first of the month following 6 months of employment.
